The Game Awards: „The Last Of Us Part II“ hoch im Kurs

Trotz der Pandemie bleiben gewisse Normen, Rituale und Gegebenheiten auch dieses Jahr bestehen. So auch die für den 10. Dezember 2020 (in der Nacht zum 11. Dezember deutscher Zeit) angekündigte „The Game Awards“-Show von Gastgeber und Gründer Geoff Keighley, seines Zeichens renommierter Videospieljournalist und Brancheninsider.

Dieses Jahr gehören „The Last of Us Part II“, „Hades“ und „Ghost of Tsushima“ zu den großen Favoriten, welche mit jeweils 10, 8 und 7 Nominierungen ins Rennen starten. Unter anderem werden 95 Videogametitel sowie -Errungenschaften diverser Personen und Teams der Gamingbranche nominiert. Aber wie bisher üblich sollen auch neue Videospiele während der Zeremonie vorgestellt werden.

Die Anwärter der heißesten Kategorie, dem begehrten Game Of The Year, sind neben „The Last Of Us 2“ noch „Ghost of Tsushima“ und „Hades“ sowie „DOOM Eternal“, „Animal Crossing“ und „Final Fantasy VII Remake“.

Die aus Hollywood, Los Angeles, streamende Show wird auf über 45 Plattformen Mitte Dezember wie üblich kostenlos zu sehen sein.
